For a musician, the piano is an obligatory piece of equipment. If you have a bunch of money, a Steinway is the only way to go. If you have even more money, a Steinway Grand is the item for you. And if you have money to burn, get one painted in white. So far so good, but here is a warning. Some guys sell fake Rolex watches on the street corner, and it isn't until you get it home that you notice it is labeled a "Ralex" or a "Polex". There is a group of piano salesmen out there who work in a similar fashion. Beware of "Shineway" or "Spineway" pianos. The give-away to watch out for is one black key for every white key, and a mysterious ribbon of musical notes spewing out from under the lid.
